So where’ve I been for the last couple of months, and what’s with GERHARDT’S CHILDREN?

Well, I’ve been busy combining a couple of my currently separate sites into one happy holistic whole. At least that’s the plan (which actually seems to be bearing down on reality). Now I have to wait for my tech wizard to do her part, but I have faith.

I think you need that with wizards.

Not that I haven’t been doing other work, too. Namely continuing to get the titles that are appropriate among my out-of-print books up in eBook form for for Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and iBooks, et al. And that’s coming along well enough, too.

Meanwhile, I’ve been delaying making new blog posts in the expectation (well, all right, hope) that my snappy new all-in-one site would be up and running. But it isn’t yet, and time’s a-wastin’, at least for the deal of the year on Gerhardt, so here goes. For today and the next six days, Amazon will be heavily discounting:

Gerhardt's Children

down from its normal price of $9.99 to staggering $1.99 for the first day, and then rising a little bit on each succeeding day till it reaches a still-bargain-priced $5.99. After which it’s back up to its normal price.

Gerhardt was a Book-of-the-Month club selection that got me compared to Henry Miller and Thomas Mann in reviews.

“Favorably?” asked one friend.

I gave him a look you can probably imagine.

(And “Yes,” I will tell you, in case you’re wondering. Without even a shred of false modesty.)

Anyway, this has always been one of my favorites among my novels. So, if you have any interest, now’s a good time to pick it up. Which you can do here.
